If you’re looking to enjoy a day of fishing on Lake Erie, Big Bad Wolf Fishing Charter is the place to be. Known for its Walleye and more, these waters offer a great chance to reel in something special — and with a bit of luck, you’ll get to experience the thrill firsthand! Depending on your target catch, your trip may involve trolling or other techniques tailored to the region.

Captain Herman welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, making this a perfect outing for families. Just be sure to check on the availability of child-sized life vests — if they aren’t provided, bring your own. Packing some snacks is also a good idea to keep everyone energized and happy.

You’ll fish aboard a 24′ Bayliner cuddy cabin, equipped to carry up to 3 passengers. The vessel comes fully outfitted with Cannon downriggers and a Fish Hawk system, Garmin and Lowrance chart plotters, fish finders, and a Garmin autopilot with iTroll. For your comfort, there’s a toilet on board. All necessary gear — rods, reels, tackle, and lures — is provided.

A First Mate will be on board to ensure your trip goes smoothly. It’s customary to tip the mate 10–20%, as they often work for tips.

Before heading out, everyone in your group will need a valid local fishing license. This can usually be obtained online, or you can ask Captain Herman for guidance. Be aware that certain species may be protected or require tags to keep, so it’s important to know the rules ahead of time.

To make your trip more enjoyable, don’t forget sunscreen (non-spray) and sunglasses. Bottled water will be available, but let the captain know if you’d like to bring your own beverages. Please note that alcohol is not permitted.
